English Version
The "Park Plaza Beijing Wangfujing Hotel" is an interesting option to stay in Pekin city centre.
The hotel is located at 100 metres from Dengshikou metro station ( Line 5 ). Besides, the famous commercial Wangfujing street is 700 metres away. The entry for the Forbidden City is 3 kms away walking.
There is no clear separation between the reception of the hotel and the lobby. As I see it, the location of the reception desk is not the best.
Close to the main entrance the concierge service desk is located. The concierge service will keep your suitcases while you visit the city for free when neeeded.
The long corridors that provide access to the rooms are on carpet.
The rooms are quite big, with a modern style. They are quite clean.
The queen bed is quite big and confortable. Close to the bed we find a wardrobe where we can place our clothes.
In front of the bed we can find a piece of furniture that hides a small fridge and a small safe. On top of it there is a Plasma TV with some international channels ( not too many ). Unfortunately there are no tee/coffee making facilities.
In the room, there is a small desk with its corresponding office chair.
The floor of the room is on carpet.
The Wifi access in the rooms is free.
The bathroom is modern, functional and clean. The toiletries such as the shower gel, the shampoo, etc... they are provided every day. As in other hotels in China the quality of the toiletries, specially the toothbrush, is quite remarkable.
There is air conditionned in the room.
Our room, located in the tenth floor was quiet.
The hotel staff speaks english properly, they are polite and caring. They helped me to handle the booking of a day trip to visit the Chinese Great Wall. They called the operator for me in order to arrange the pickup time.
Breakfast was not included in the booking.
From my point of view, although the quality of the hotel is high, the price is high too ( Example: Double Superior Room, 2 Nights Thursday and Friday in September 2015, without breakfast for 230,73€ at Hoteles.com ).
If I have to stay again in Pekin, I will try to stay in a hotel in the same area, but I would repeat in this hotel only if the price is reasonable. For lower prices it is still possible to find other hotels in the same area and with a similar quality.
