El hotel se encuentra situado a unos 200 metros de la estación de metro People Square ( Linea 2 ). Además se encuentra ubicado en East Nanjing Road, una de las más bulliciosas calles comerciales de todo Shanghai.
La entrada al hotel se encuentra a pie de calle. En la planta inferior únicamente se encuentra un mostrador del servicio de conserjería. Este servicio de conserjería se encarga de guardar nuestras maletas de forma gratuita en caso de necesidad.
A diferencia de otros hoteles, para acceder a la recepción es necesario tomar un ascensor que nos lleve hasta la planta 10, ya que los pisos inferiores se encuentran ocupados por un centro comercial. La zona de la recepción es bastante amplia.
Después de registrarnos, debemos tomar el ascensor adecuado para acceder a nuestra planta, en nuestro caso la 22. Nada más salir de los ascensores comenzamos a observar el lujo de este hotel.

Nuestra habitación, situada en la planta 22 no era ruidosa.
El personal del hotel habla inglés correctamente y son muy educados.
El desayuno es otro de los puntos fuertes de este hotel. Existe una gran variedad de productos tanto orientales como occidentales.

"Le Royal Méridien Shanghai Hotel" is an excelent option to stay in Shanghai, China.
The hotel is 200 metres away from People Square metro station ( Line 2 ). The hotel is located at East Nanjing Road, one of the crowdiest shopping streets in Shanghai.
The main entrance is on the basement level. In this level, the concierge service desk is located. The concierge service will keep your suitcases while you visit the city for free when neeeded.
To reach the hotel reception it is necessary to take the elevator to the 10th floor, as the lower levels are occupied with a shopping center. The reception area is quite wide.
After checking in, we have to take the proper elevator to access our floor, in our case, the floor 22nd. The luxury of this hotel is observed just after leaving the elevators.
The long corridors that provide access to the rooms are on carpet.
As we get into de room, we find a wardrobe where we can place our clothes.
The rooms are huge, with a modern style and very clean.
The queen bed is quite big and confortable.
In front of the bed, we find a plasma TV with several international channels ( not too many ). There is also a small fridge. As well, we can find tee/coffee making facilities.
Close to the enormous windows an office desk is located. From these windows we have spectacular views of East Nanjing Road, both at night or in the morning.
The floor of the room is on carpet.
The Wifi access in the rooms is free.
The bathroom is integrated in the room, and this makes it even bigger.
The toiletries such as the shower gel, the shampoo, etc... they are provided every day. As in other hotels in China the quality of the toiletries, specially the toothbrush, is quite remarkable.
There is air conditionned in the room.
Our room, located in the 22nd floor was quiet.
The hotel staff speaks english properly and they are polite.
The breakfast service is one of the key points of this hotel. There is a great variety of products, both eastern and western style.
To complete the einterteinment facilities offered by this hotel, it is strongly recommended to visit the gym and the indoor pool.
From my point of view, this hotel has a very high quality. Booking in advance, it is possible to find
reasonable prices ( Example: Double Superior Room with breakfast, August 2015, for 920 CNY - 130 € per night - special company rates ).
If I had to visit again in Shanghai, I would stay again in this hotel for sure.
