Alemania - Colonia - Hotel Cristall

El Hotel Cristall de Colonia se encuentra a unos
500 metros de la Catedral y de la Hauptbanhof. El hotel
se encuentra en una zona tranquila en lo que se refiere
al ambiente, pero bastante ruidosa, por las cercanías
a la vía del tren.

La zona de la recepción del hotel tiene un estilo moderno.
Las habitaciones tienen un tamaño normal y son muy limpias,
aunque tienen un estilo antiguo. El armario es muy pequeño
a si como el resto de los muebles de la habitación.

Las habitaciones disponen de dos camas y éstas son bastante
blandas.

La televisión es muy pequeña. No hay calentador de agua para
preparar té o café.

El baño es pequeño aunque muy limpio.

Existe Wifi gratuito en las habitaciones ( aunque es necesario
solicitar un código cada día ).

Hay que tener mucho cuidado al elegir las habitaciones. Las
habitaciones con vistas a Ursulastraße son muy muy ruidosas
( ésta es una calle amplia por donde los coches circulan a
gran velocidad ). El aislamiento de las ventanas es bastante
pobre, a si que recomiendo las habitaciones que dan al patio
interior.

El personal del hotel es bastante educado.

La reserva normalmente incluye desayuno. Éste es bastante
variado.

En mi opinión este hotel presenta una relación calidad-precio
muy buena considerando que la reserva incluye desayuno
( ejemplo: 1 Noche de lunes 62,36€ en Hoteles.com ).

Si tuviera que repetir visita en Colonia, probablemente buscaría
otras opciones, aunque seguramente tendrían un precio mas alto.

Hotel Cristall in Cologne is located 500 metres away from
the Cathedral and the Hauptbanhof. The hotel is located
in a quiet neighbourhood in terms of safety but it is
a very noisy area, as the hotel is really closed to
the train lines.

The reception area of the hotel is decorated in a modern style.
The size of the rooms is normal and they are quite clean,
although the style is a little bit old-fashioned. The wardrobe
is really small, as the rest of the furniture in the room.

The rooms have 2 beds and they are quite soft ( to me this
is a little bit uncomfortable ).

The TV is small and really old. There are no coffee and tea
making facilities present in the room.

The bathroom is small although clean.

Free WiFi access are available in the room ( although it is
needed to request a WiFi access code every day at the
reception desk ).

It is important to make a good choice to select the rooms.
The rooms with views to Ursulastraße are really really noisy
( the cars are running quite fast over this street ).
The noise isolation of the windows is really poor. 
I recommend to choose a room with views to the inside area.

The hotel staff is polite.

The booking normally includes breakfast and it has a great
variety.

From my point of view, this hotel has a great quality-price
relationship, considering the booking includes breakfast.

If I had to visit Cologne again, I would look for other options,
although they would be more expensive for sure.
