El Hotel Auberge St-Louis puede ser una opción económica para alojarse en Quebec, Canada. Su principal ventaja es su gran ubicación. Situado en la Rue St-Louis, se encuentra a unos 300 metros del Château Frontenac. Cualquier punto del casco antiguo se encuentra a corta distancia de este alojamiento.

Este hotel se encuentra situado en una casa antigua de 3 alturas sin ascensor. Debido a sus empinadas escaleras este hotel no es nada recomendable para personas mayores o con movilidad reducida.

Las instalaciones del hotel necesitarían una reforma, en especial pasillos y accesos.

En nuestro caso, la habitación ( Nº 28 ) se encontraba situada en la segunda planta. Dentro de la propia habitación es necesario subir otra serie de empinadas escaleras para acceder a las camas.

La habitación era grande, pero al tener dos camas dobles apenas quedaba espacio para moverse con facilidad.

La habitación estaba limpia, con el suelo enmoquetado.

El baño era extremadamente pequeño ( quizás 1,5 m2 o menos ) y bastante antiguo. La luz del baño activa un extractor del aire que hace un ruido ensordecedor. Los geles del baño eran tan antiguos que al abrir los botecitos el tapón estaba pasado.

La habitación dispone de un pequeño armario. También encontramos un pequeño escritorio con una silla. Junto a la cama encontramos una butaca.

La televisión es de plasma y dispone de varios canales de televisión por cable. Existe Wifi gratuito en las habitaciones ( es necesario solicitar un código en recepción ).

Por desgracia no disponemos de un calentador de agua para preparar te o café. 

La habitación dispone de un aparato de Aire Acondicionado aunque no tiene mucha potencia. Como la ventana de la habitación no se podía abrir, la sensación era un poco agobiante. Las vistas de  la habitación dan a una zona interior.

El personal del hotel es bastante atento y educado.

Con la reserva de la habitación te entregan unos cupones para desayunar en un pequeño restaurante que se encuentra bajo el hotel. Con el desayuno podemos elegir entre zumo o café y tostadas, y huevos o tortillas, o tostada francesa, acompañados de un poco de fruta. Podría decir que el desayuno es el mejor servicio de este hotel.

En el caso de que necesitemos hacer uso de un ordenador para imprimir algún documento o hacer el checkin de nuestro vuelo, tendremos que utilizar el propio ordenador de la recepción. Si queremos dejar nuestras maletas en depósito mientras visitamos la ciudad, tendremos que dejarlas en el pequeño saloncito de la recepción.

Además de su buena localización, el otro punto fuerte de este hotel es su bajo precio ( Ejemplo: 2 Noches de viernes y sábado por 199,67€ en www.booking.com ).

Si tuviera que repetir visita en Quebec buscaría otro hotel sin dudarlo.

The Auberge St-Louis Hotel could be a very economic option to stay in Quebec, Canada. Its principal advantage is its perfect location. It is located in Rue St-Louis 300 metres away from the Château Frontenac. Every place in the old part of Quebec is located at walking distance from this hotel.

This hotel is located in an old house of 3 floors without elevator. Due to the steep stairs, this hotel is not advisable for old people or with movility problems.

The instalations of this hotel should be refurbished, specially the corridors and accesses.

In our case, the room ( room 28 ) was located in the second floor. Even inside the room it was necessary to climb another path of stairs to reach the beds.

The room was big, but as there were 2 queen beds there was not too much space left to move easily.

The bathroom was extremely small ( maybe 1,5 m2 or less ) and very old. The light of the bathroom activates an air extractor that makes a very uncomfortable noise. The toiletries seemed to be old because when you opened them, the cap broke up.

The room has a small wardrobe. We can also find a desk with its chair. Just by the bed there is an armchair.

There is a plasma TV with cable tv channels. There is also free WiFi access in the rooms ( it is needed to ask for an access code in the reception ).

Unfortunately there are no coffee or tea making facilities present in the room.

There is an Air Conditionned system in the room, but it was not very powerful. As the window could not be open, sometimes you could feel stifling somehow. The views from the room are looking to a courtyard.

The staff of the hotel is quite helpful and polite.

With the reservation, you receive a ticket to have breakfast in a small restaurant located in the lower floor of this hotel. For the breakfast you can choose between juice or coffee and some toasts, either eggs or omelettes, french toasts, any of them served with some fruit. I would say that the breakfast is the best of the services offered by this hotel.

In case we need to use a computer to print some document or to complete the checkin of our flight, we will have to use the computer of the staff in the reception. You can leave your suitcases in the reception hall in deposit while visiting the city.

Apart from its great location, the other strong argument for this hotel would be the low rates ( Example: 2 nights Friday and Saturday for about 199,67€ at www.booking.com ).

If I had to stay in Quebec, I would look for other hotel for sure.
