Sogndal es otro de los puntos estratégicos para realizar
excursiones a los glaciares de Nigards y Briksdal, pero
la calidad de los hoteles de la zona deja bastante que
desear y el precio es muy elevado.
En nuestra visita a Sogndal, nos decidimos por el Best Western
Laegreid Hotel, quizás por ser un poco más barato que otros
hoteles y por pertenecer a la cadena Best Western.
Para llegar a este hotel, o bien deberéis disponer de coche de alquiler,
o bien utilizar el autobús Sognebussen, que conecta Sogndal con
varios pueblos. La parada del autobús se encuentra a 400 metros
del hotel.
Las habitaciones son bastante amplias, para lo que se estila en
los países nórdicos. Nuestra habitación tenía dos camas, una
pequeña mesa escritorio y dos sofás. La televisión es de plasma.
Creo recordar que en 2011 no había WiFi en las habitaciones,
aunque sí que había en la zona del Hall del hotel.
Las vistas desde la habitación son preciosas
El baño es amplio y limpio, aunque el estilo es un poco antiguo.
La reserva incluye desayuno-buffet. Nosotros salimos muy
descontentos, ya que cuando bajamos, acababan de desayunar un
grupo de moteros que arrasaron con todo a su paso. El personal del
hotel no estuvo muy atento para reponer alimentos para los
huéspedes que llegamos después.
El staff del hotel no nos pareció muy atento aunque supongo que
será cuestión de gustos. Lo que si tenemos que agredecerles
es que nos guardaron las maletas durante nuestra visita el día
siguiente al glaciar de Nigards.
El hotel, es muy caro para lo que es ( Ejemplo: 1 noche de lunes
150€ la habitación doble en www.destinia.com ).
Si tuviera que repetir visita en Sogndal, buscaría otro hotel.
Al día siguiente visitamos el Quality Hotel Sogndal, y estuvimos
allí cenando, y nos causó muy buena impresión, aunque también
he visto que las críticas no son muy buenas.

Sogndal is another one of those key places to plan excursions
towards Nigards and Briksdal glaciers , but the quality of the
hotels in this area is quite bad and the price is expensive.
In our visit to Sogndal, we decided to choose Best Western
Laegreid Hotel, maybe because it was a little bit cheaper than
other hotels and because this hotel belongs to Best Western
group.
To reach this hotel, either you have a rented car, or you should
use the Sognebussen bus that connects Sogndal with several villages.
The bus stope is 400 metres away.
The rooms are quite big, considering the Nordic countries style.
In our room we had 2 beds, a desk and 2 armchairs. There is
a Plasma TV. As far as I remember, in 2011, there was no WiFi
access in the rooms, although there was in the lobby.
The room views are wonderful.
The bathroom was wide and clean, although in my opinion,
the style is a little bit old fashion.
The breakfast was included. In our case, we were quite disappointed,
as when we arrive at the hall, a group polished off all the food.
The hotel staff was not quick enough to replace the food for the
rest of the guests that arrive later on.
From our point of view, the staff was not very helpful, although
others will think different. On the other hand, we have to thank
them for keeping our cases during our visit to Nigards Glacier
the day after.
The hotel, is quite expensive considering what it offers
( Example: 1 Monday night, 150€ in www.destinia.com web site ).
If I had to visit Sogndal again, I would probably look for
other hotel. The day after, we visited the Quality Hotel Sogndal,
and we were having dinner there. We got a good impression from
this hotel, although I have seen that this hotels have some
bad opinions too.
