El Hotel Savic ( http://www.savic.eu/en/home ) se encuentra situado en pleno centro de Staré Mesto, a unos 250 metros del Reloj Astronómico y de la Staromestské Námestí. En cuanto al transporte público, el hotel se encuentra a unos 400 metros de la estación "Staromestská" - Línea A Verde, o a unos 500 metros de la estación "Mústek" - Línea A Verde o Línea B Amarilla.

La recepción es realmente pequeña. Si ocurre, como en nuestro caso, que hay otros huéspedes haciendo el check-in / check-out, apenas hay espacio para esperar. Tras atravesar la recepción nos encontramos un bonito jardín interior acristalado que se aprovecha como espacio para el desayuno-buffet. Tras un estrecho pasillo, se accede a los ascensores.

Las habitaciones son muy amplias y limpias. La habitación dispone de un pequeño recibidor donde encontramos un armario ( incluye una pequeña caja fuerte electrónica ). Tras el recibidor nos encontramos el espacio principal que contiene una enorme y cómoda cama.

La habitación dispone de un escritorio, sobre el cual encontramos una cafetera Nespresso con cápsulas a nuestra disposición.

En el otro extremo de la habitación nos encontramos un cómodo sofá con su correspondiente reposa-pies.

Frente a la cama encontramos un televisor de plasma ( con canales internacionales incluyendo TVE ). Bajo el televisor encontramos un pequeño mueble que alberga una pequeña nevera minibar.

El baño es muy grande y limpio. La repisa del lavabo es muy amplia, con mucho espacio para dejar nuestra bolsa de aseo. Por otro lado, no tengo claro si por política del Hotel, o por descuido del personal de limpieza, no nos pusieron ningún gel o champú en los dos días que nos alojamos.

En las habitaciones de la tercera planta no se percibía mucho el ruido de la calle, pero si el ruido del pequeño hall que se encuentra en esta planta, y que otros huéspedes utilizan para jugar a las cartas hasta altas horas de la noche ( sin que el personal del hotel haga nada al respecto ).

Las vistas desde la habitación no son muy destacables, ya que el hotel se encuentra en medio de una encrucijada de calles, encajonado entre varios edificios.

Mi opinión sobre el personal del hotel es muy diferente dependiendo de área del que se ocupan. En cuanto al personal encargado del desayuno-buffet tengo que decir que son súper amables y atentos. Todo lo contrario que el personal de la recepción. Por dos días, pudimos contemplar la diferencia de trato que hacen a huéspedes que en apariencia tienen un nivel económico alto, y a huéspedes como nosotros ( la chica de recepción prácticamente ni nos miró ni la mañana que hicimos el check-out ).

En mi opinión el precio de este hotel es elevado ( el precio de la noche del Miércoles 1 de Enero de 2014 era superior a los 200€ con desayuno incluido, y el de la noche del Jueves 2 de Enero era de 90,20€ con desayuno incluido en www.logitravel.com ).

Si tuviera que repetir visita en Praga, consideraría otras ofertas, ya que el precio del hotel puede subir bastante en fin de semana. Si encontrara una buena oferta, probablemente repetiría estancia.

Savic Hotel is located in the center of Staré Mesto, 250 metros away from the Prague Astronomical Clock and the Staromestské Námestí square. Regarding public transport, the hotel is located 400 metres away from "Staromestská" - Line A Green metro station; and 500 metros away from "Mústek" - Line A Green and Line B Yellow Metro station.

The reception area is really small. If it happens like in our case, that there are other guests doing the check-in or the check-out procedures, there is no space to wait your turn. Walking through the reception area we will end up in a very nice inner "glazed" garden that is used as breakfast area. Following a narrow corridor, we get access to the elevators.

The rooms are really wide and clean. The room is divided in 3 areas. To begin with, there is small entrance hall where we will find a wardrobe ( there is a small electronic safe inside ). Beside this hall we get into the main area that contains an enormous and confortable bed.

The room includes a desk, and on top of it we find a Nespresso coffee machine with capsules for our disposal.

At the other side of the room, we find a confortable sofa with its corresponding footrest.

In front of the bed we will find a Plasma TV with International Channels ( including TVE ). Below the TV there is a small furniture that contains a small fridge-minibar.

The bathroom is really big and clean. The bathroom sink shelf is really wide, with a lot of space to leave our toiletry bag. On the other hand, it is really surprising that in this kind of hotels they did not provided us with any shampoo or shower gel toiletry during the 2 nights that we stayed.

In the rooms of the third floor the noise from the street was not perceived. On the other hand, there was a lot of noise from the resting area that is located in the center of this floor. Other guests were using this area to play cards till very late, making a lot of noise ( no one from the hotel staff pass by to request them not to make such a noise ). The views from the room are not remarkable as the hotel is located in the middle of 2 streets converging in a corner.

From my point of view, the behaviour of the hotel staff is very different depending on the area they work for. While the staff attending the breakfast buffet is really nice and helpful, the staff located in the reception is totally different. During 2 days we could observe how different the reception staff treat the guests depending on if they look like being rich ( really good attention and care ) and the rest of the guests ( they do not care about you; as an example, the woman in the reception didn´t look at us during the check-out ).

As I see it, the price of this hotel is quite high ( for example the price of Wednesday 1st January to 2nd was higher than 200€ - breakfast included; and the night from Thursday 2nd January to 2rd was 90,20€ - breakfast included at www.logitravel.com ).

If I had to stay in Praga again, I would look for other alternatives, as the price of this hotel can be really high during weekends. On the other hand, if I find a good offer for this hotel I would stay for sure.
